High-level COP15 event

On 15 December 2009, Danish-Chinese Business Forum successfully organised a high-level event in connection with COP15 in Bella Center, in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Denmark. At this event, CEOs from member companies within energy and cleantech met with the Chinese high-level COP15 delegation. The Chinese side consisted of fourteen delegates and was lead by Vice Chairman (minister level) of the National Development and Reform Commission, Mr. Xie Zhenhua. 

Besides top executives from A.P. Møller-Mærsk A/S, Vestas A/S, VKR-Holding A/S, Haldor Topsøe A/S, Novozymes A/S, and DTU, the participants from Danish side also included Mr. Claus Grube, Ambassador, Permanent Secretary of State.

The meeting was opened by Chairman of Danish-Chinese Business Forum, Mr. Nils Foss, followed by speeches by Mr. Xie Zhenhua and Mr. Claus Grube. These were followed by addresses by Vice Minister Mr. Liu Yan Hua, Ministry of Science and Technology; Vice Minister Mr. Li Gan Jie, Ministry of Environmental Protection; and Vice President Mr. Du Xiang Wan, Chinese Academy of Engineering.

A reception concluded the meeting, where the participants from the two sides were having informal talks about strengthened cooperation between Denmark and China in the fields of energy efficiency and cleantech solutions.
