DCBF History

History of Danish-Chinese Business Forum

2005: Danish-Chinese Business Forum was established by some of the largest export companies in Denmark on the initiative of Nils Foss who convinced 15 other companies to form DCBF. Nils Foss was elected the first Chairman of the Board of DCBF, and Tom Jensen was appointed the first Secretary General of DCBF.

2006: H.R.H. The Prince Consort of Denmark becomes patron of Danish-Chinese Business Forum

2012: Thorkil K. Christensen was elected Chairman of the Board of DCBF

2016: Claus V. Hemmingsen was elected Chairman of the Board of DCBF

2016: Hans Henrik Pontoppidan was appointed as Secretary General of DCBF

2019: Tom Behrens-Sørensen was elected Chairman of the Board of DCBF

2019: H.R.H. Crown Prince of Denmark follows in the footsteps of Prince Henrik and becomes patron of Danish-Chinese Business Forum

History of Danish-Chinese Business Forum

2025: DCBF conducts a successful Annual General Meeting at FOSS Analytical A/S, officially passing 20 years of eastiblishing Denmark-China dialogue. 

2025: In collaboration with Carlsberg Group, DCBF hosted the official event marking 75 years of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Denmark and the People’s Republic of China. Distinguished guests included H.M. King Frederik X; H.E. Mr Wang Xuefeng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Denmark; and Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.
