SIGNATURE EVENTS
C-LEVEL

Our C-level events include a series of annually recurring activities as well as individually planned ambassador briefings, roundtables and conferences. Meetings are usually held under the Chatham House Rule to provide a trusted environment for strategic discussions.

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) combines keynote perspectives with member dialogue on pressing business issues and helps set DCBF’s priorities for the year ahead.

Annual China Summit with the Board Society

Our Annual China Summit with the Board Society brings together senior executives and board professionals to examine strategic issues in Denmark–China commercial relations. The summit focuses on the board’s responsibility to understand, assess and address the company’s exposure to China.

Commercial and Political Update

The Commercial and Political Update is an annual high-level briefing on China’s economic and political outlook. Danish and international experts provide members with decision-relevant insights for strategy and operations in China. The event is streamed in collaboration with Danske Bank.

FOCUS GROUPS

If your company is facing China-related challenges, our Focus Groups provide valuable support.

Companies navigating the changing Denmark–China business environment often face highly specialised challenges that cannot be resolved through internal expertise alone. DCBF Focus Groups bring together member companies with relevant or complementary experience, often alongside external specialists, to address these challenges. Groups are established at members’ initiative, and meetings are held under the Chatham House Rule to support open strategic discussion. Key insights are shared through DCBF Briefs so that the wider membership can benefit.

Recurring topics include:
  • Geopolitics: Risks and opportunities
  • Technology: AI, automation, strategic perspectives, management etc.
  • Regulation and public affairs: Navigating the rapidly evolving landscape of export controls, trade policy etc.
  • Headquarters–subsidiary dynamics: How to utilize resources best?
  • China Inc.: Competing and collaborating with Chinese companies

"I have been working with DCBF for approx. half a year, where we together have built up an Experience Group with Chinese sustainable energy in focus. I must give credit to DCBF and to Hans Henrik Pontoppidan for the efforts and the excitement put into this process. Without DCBF we would not have created this group of Danish companies, and we would then have missed all the added knowledge shared about China." - Kenneth Dupont, Senior Energy Manager, Danfoss

Others activities and partner events

DCBF works with partners across Denmark, Europe and China to organise joint activities that create value for members. We also promote relevant partner events through our members-only newsletter, website and LinkedIn page.

If you are interested in learning more about our partnerships, please contact:
Martin Bech, PhD, Deputy Secretary General (mb@dcbf.dk / +45 3024 9959).

Denmark–China commercial relations are increasingly complex, and navigating political and commercial realities often requires deep sector-specific expertise. DCBF therefore collaborates with experts and consultancies on projects addressing issues arising directly from member companies’ business operations. These projects involve senior executives and subject-matter specialists, and their conclusions are shared with members and, where appropriate, with a wider audience through our website and LinkedIn page.

Advocacy
ADVOCACY

As geopolitical developments make Denmark–China commercial relations increasingly complex, effective policy and framework conditions must be evidence-based and grounded in business realities. DCBF engages regularly with Danish, Chinese and European decision-makers, providing authoritative insight into Denmark–China and wider Europe–China commercial relations. Through this dialogue, we seek to shape the long-term conditions for sustainable, strategic engagement with China. Working closely with public-sector stakeholders, DCBF communicates relevant developments in China and advances the challenges and opportunities identified by our members.

Our network of stakeholders includes:
  • Danish Ministries (e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Industry and Competitiveness)
  • Professional Associations (e.g. Danish Chamber of Commerce, DCCC, Eifo etc.)
