Company Description

Established in 1847 by brewer J.C. Jacobsen, the Carlsberg Group is one of the leading brewery groups in the world, with an attractive portfolio of beer and other beverage brands. Headquartered in Denmark, Carlsberg employs over 30,000 employees and has a presence in over 125 markets.

In 1876, Carlsberg began exporting beers to China, and in 1995, they set up their first brewery in mainland China in Huizhou, which is still one of the most important production bases of Carlsberg China.

As China has its ambition and actions to tackle climate change, Carlsberg also has its own ambitious "Together Towards Zero" implemented in China. After six years of effort, Carlsberg has reduced carbon emissions by over 75%, with water consumption down by nearly 36%. All Carlsberg breweries in China have been using 100% renewable energy since 2020.
