INFUSER Presents Novel Indoor Air Cleaner in China
- Published on Thursday, 21 April 2016 09:21
Air in large cities can be so heavily polluted, that going inside is no guarantee for easy breathing. INFUSER have developed new technology for improving the quality of indoor air. The company’s management presented the indoor air quality solution to the world press in Beijing on the 17th of March 2016.

The solution, CLIMATIC INDOOR, premiered at the visa building at the Royal Danish Embassy. Since the end of January the installation has provided visa applicants to Denmark and embassy staff with “probably the cleanest air in Beijing”.
From Advanced Pollution Control at a Point Source to Indoor Air Quality
For the past three years INFUSER has successfully cleaned industrial emissions from polluters as diverse as heavy industry, food production, and wastewater treatment. The new indoor solution is based on the same technology of Gas Phase Advanced Oxidation (GPAO), which efficiently removes polluting gasses by transforming them into particles. GPAO was recently shown by a University of Copenhagen study to be the most effective and versatile air cleaning solution on the market.
“INFUSER wants to provide you with air you want to breathe whether you are standing outside a factory or sitting inside your home or office,” says INFUSER CEO Lars Nannerup.

Unprecedented Cleaning Efficacy
Dr. Thomas Rosenørn, Chief Science Officer at INFUSER, together with Jonas Ingemar, Science Officer at INFUSER, and scientists from Shandong University in China mapped out the efficiency of the new technology on location in Beijing. CLIMATIC Indoor is the only technology on the market that can achieve cleaning levels of up to 98% for particulate matter, without the use of static filters, while removing both toxic gasses and particles in a single treatment. At the press conference, Dr. Rosenørn explained the principles of the system, and presented the remarkable results.
“Polluting gasses are very hard to remove, because molecules are few and far between. CLIMATIC is based on the way the natural atmosphere cleans itself. Here gasses are transformed into particles in a process involving free radicals and sunlight. And particles are much easier to get rid of than gas,” says Dr. Thomas Rosenørn.
Producing air, you want to breathe was a proposition that was well received by the press in Beijing, where pollution levels often exceed the hazard levels stipulated by the World Health Organisation, WHO. More than 20 Chinese and international journalists attended the press conference.
The reputable Chinese media for business and economic news, China Economic Net, puts it “The development and research inspiration of the system come from the nature’s purification mechanism, and the module principle of Danish Lego toys”.
INFUSER’s CEO Lars Nannerup hopes that this is the first step towards helping the many people facing air quality problems in the increasing number of heavily polluted megacities worldwide.
“With CLIMATIC we have the technology to make sure that every factory in the world emits only clean and breathable air to their surroundings, but until that has been installed everywhere, we are happy to provide a solution where people can at least have clean indoor air in their homes, schools or offices,” says Lars Nannerup.
