Signature Events

Our recurring DCBF Signature Events are larger events with expert presentations on central themes within Danish-Chinese Business. The signature events are held once a year, they are well-attended and each has a fixed theme. Examples are:

  • Political & Economic Update
  • Cyber Security Conference
  • Briefing on China’s Five-Year Plan (occurs every 5 years)
  • China Branding and Marketing Seminar.

Ad hoc events

Our ad hoc events include exclusive C-level events, as well as other conferences, seminars, briefings and panel discussions.

Examples of ad hoc events in 2020:

  • Track and Trace Technologies – Danish First Movers on the Chinese Market
  • Get ready for CIIE - Maximize your product and brand exposure to the right buyers
  • Nordic Food China - 1.4 billion business opportunities

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is our most important event, and a great opportunity for DCBF-members to network with each other, and to get updated on the current state of Danish Chinese Business Forum as well as plans for the future. Furthermore, this event usually also includes a themed session on a relevant topic, featuring speakers and interactive involvement from the members. In 2020 and 2021 however, the Covid-19 situation unfortunately prevented us from carrying through the planned physical event, and the AGM was instead successfully executed as an online event.

Our members often face similar challenges when navigating in the Danish-Chinese business environment. Based on this, The DCBF Focus Groups allow DCBF’s members to exchange knowledge and expertise within the theme of the specific focus group.

DCBF Focus Groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Cyber Security / Corporate Social Credit Score
  • HR
  • IPR / Trademark
  • VAT / Tax and customs issues
  • Blockchain to support sales
  • Energy

Facilitating contact between member organizations and relevant stakeholders is one of our primary missions. Our network comprises a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from private companies to public organizations and entities such as Ministries and Cities.

Our stakeholders include, but are not limited to:

  • The Chinese Embassy in Denmark
  • Danish Ministries (e.g. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs).
  • Professional Associations (e.g. Danish Chamber of Commerce, DCCC, EKF, Danish Agriculture and Food Council and Medicoindustrien).
  • Danish Cities and Municipalities.
  • Danish Universities

Our network is based on knowledge-sharing, and in order to facilitate this in an effective and timesaving way, we established our webinar initiative in 2019, where subject-matter experts present a topic related to Danish-Chinese Business, followed by an interactive Q&A and discussion with the participants.

We have now also partnered up with all the chambers of Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC) and Danish Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong (DCC-HK) for this initiative, thereby extending and enhancing the knowledge-sharing network.

The initiative has already proven very successful, and several hundred persons from member organizations have tuned in to the webinars to gain valuable information from the experts.

In 2020, we hosted more than 40 webinars together with DCCC and DCC-HK.
