In March 2021, the China-Europe Express Chang’an (Xi’an-Denmark) route was launched. The route implements a rail-sea combination (from Kaliningrad, Russia to Fredericia, Denmark by sea) and is a cost-effective and fast alternative to air freight and sea freight. Compared to air freight, rail freight is less costly and more sustainable, and compared to sea freight, it is much faster.
