Pets have become big business in China. Pampered dogs, cats, and other fur balls are now a common sight in large cities and beyond. Imported kibble and food cans make up a sizeable part of the market, alongside all kinds of premium snacks.

To guide European SME brands looking to export pet food to China, the EU SME Centre and the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China are organising on 19 October a webinar with industry experts. Bi Jun, regulatory affairs manager at knoell, will present the evolution of the market in recent years. He will also detail compliance requirements and the market access regulatory framework to import pet food to China.
