Speaker: Jakob Vester Nielsen

Location: A.P. Moller-Maersk, Esplanaden 50, 1263 København K

The meeting covers how fast-moving geopolitical developments are tracked and interpreted, how internal setups are organized across functions and leadership, and how issues are addressed when they begin to affect commercial choices, operations, or strategic investments. Building on concrete examples, Jakob outlines how uncertainty can be turned into structured decision support through scenario planning, early-warning indicators, mitigation and contingency plans, and clear “who-decides-what” governance.

The aim is to spark a candid discussion on what works in practice: how to keep analysis relevant to business timelines, how to avoid overreactions, and how to build organizational readiness in a world of persistent geopolitical volatility.

NB: This meeting will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule and is open by invitation only to DCBF members.
