Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is our most important event, and a great opportunity for DCBF-members to network with each other, and to get updated on the current state of Danish Chinese Business Forum as well as plans for the future. Furthermore, this event usually also includes a themed session on a relevant topic, featuring speakers and interactive involvement from the members.

Signature Events

Our recurring DCBF Signature Events are larger events with expert presentations on central themes within Danish-Chinese Business. The Signature Events are held once a year, they are well-attended and each has a fixed theme.

Examples:

  • China Business Update
  • Cyber Security Conference
  • Briefing on China’s Five-Year Plan (occurs every 5 years)
  • China Branding and Marketing Seminar.

C-Level Events

Our C-level Events, comprising conferences and roundtables, provide top management and boards of directors with opportunities to discuss strategic issues relating to their business operations in China (based on Chatham Rules). Competent speakers and experts provide insights into central issues relating to Danish-Chinese business, such as Sino-Danish relations, geopolitics, and decoupling, followed by engaging discussions on strategic considerations.

Examples:

  • Board Leadership in a New World Order
  • China Perspectives for the Board Room
  • China Outlook - Strategy, Economy and Politics

Partner Events

Our Partner Events include conferences, seminars, briefings and panel discussions.

Examples of Partner Events in 2022:

  • Chinese-Danish Communication Training

FOCUS GROUPS

If you are facing a problem at your company related to China within your field of work, you may find help in our Focus Groups.

When navigating in the Danish-Chinese business environment many members face challenges related to highly specialised areas. While you may find yourself dealing with a specific issue at your company, you are likely to have colleagues in our other member companies facing similar issues.

We have established our Focus Groups to help provide an exchange of knowledge and expertise among our group members focusing on solving a specific challenge.

These forums may focus on (but are not limited to):

  • Blockchain to support sales
  • EdTech/HR
  • IPR / Trademark
  • New Go-to-Market Models
  • Power Purchase Agreements
  • VAT / Tax and customs issues

"I have been working with DCBF for approx. half a year, where we together have built up an Experience Group with Chinese sustainable energy in focus. I must give credit to DCBF and to Hans Henrik Pontoppidan for the efforts and the excitement put into this process. Without DCBF we would not have created this group of Danish companies, and we would then have missed all the added knowledge shared about China." - Kenneth Dupont, Senior Energy Manager, Danfoss

If you are interested in joining one of the existing groups or have a suggestion for a new discipline area/new specialist area, please contact our Secretary General Hans Henrik Pontoppidan by e-mail at: hhp@dcbf.dk or call him at +45 20200481

WEBINARS
WEBINARS

Our network is based on knowledge-sharing, and in order to facilitate this in an effective and time-saving way, we established our webinar initiative in 2019, where subject-matter experts present a topic related to Danish-Chinese Business, followed by an interactive Q&A and discussion with the participants.

We collaborate with the Danish Chamber of Commerce in China (DCCC) and Danish Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong (DCC-HK) for this initiative, thereby extending and enhancing the knowledge-sharing network, in order to provide the best up-to-date information about China to our members.

In 2022, we hosted more than 25 webinars together with DCCC and DCC-HK, where several hundred individuals from member organizations tuned in to the webinars, gaining valuable information from the experts.

Examples of Joint Chamber Webinars:

  • Effective Business Development in China
  • Approaches and Tactics for Marketing
  • Cross-culture Management (incl. Remote Management)
  • Effective use of Chinese Social Media
  • China's Cybersecurity & Data Law Development
