Casper Wichmann joined DCBF as Deputy Secretary General in August 2025.
He brings with him over a decade of experience working on China-related issues across both the public and private sectors. Most recently, he served as TV2’s Asia and China Correspondent, reporting on regional developments with a particular focus on China’s political, economic, and societal dynamics.
Prior to that from 2017 to 2023, Casper was general manager of ThinkChina, a university think tank within University of Copenhagen that connected China Research from the University of Copenhagen with Danish stakeholders. dedicated to enhancing Danish understanding of China and fostering dialogue across academia, business, and government. Under his leadership, the organization built a strong cross-sectoral network and earned a reputation for delivering sharp analytical insights into China’s global role.
Casper holds a Master’s degree in China Studies from the University of Copenhagen and a HD2 in International Business from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He has also lived and worked extensively in China and is fluent in Chinese.
