On Tuesday May 6th, 2025, Danish-Chinese Business Forum had the honor of welcoming 130 high-level executives, policymakers, and stakeholders to commemorate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and the People’s Republic of China.

Denmark holds a unique place in history as the second Western country - after Sweden - to officially recognize the People's Republic of China. Formal diplomatic relations were established on 11 May 1950, laying the foundation for decades of bilateral engagement.

We appreciate the opportunity to mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations - an important milestone that reflects a long-standing bilateral partnership, increasingly characterised by the deepened trade and economic engagement over the past two decades.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our distinguished keynote speakers, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, and H.E. Mr. Wang Xuefeng, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Denmark for their presence and insightful contributions.

We also wish to express a genuine thank you to H.M. King Frederik X for his attendance, adding to the significance of the occasion.

We are also grateful to Carlsberg Group, and in particular CEO Jacob Aarup-Andersen, for their generous hospitality in hosting this special event.

We look forward to the continued engagement and future initiatives that strengthen Sino-Danish ties. At DCBF, we remain committed to supporting and encouraging dialogue that builds trust and long-term cooperation.
