The largest take-away from the new index is that retraction in market opportunities across all areas is driving outlook, and that the overall trend has shown a decline in short-term outlook on China by Danish companies in Q3, compared to the two previous quarters.
However, it is also clear that outlook varies depending on industry, business sector and location. Respondents based in Denmark have been found to have a more positive short-term outlook on their operations in China than respondents in China. This is also true for the energy and environment & water sector, but other sectors are representative of a downward trend in outlook.
