Audio file
Guest: Heidi Berg, Sustainability and ESG Director, DI Asia Base

Discussing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in a Chinese context is crucial when talking organizational strategy and sustainability, because of the increasing regulatory pressure and China's significant role in global supply chains.

Companies cannot ignore ESG – beyond compliance issues, ESG is becoming a reporting issue which needs solid documentation. ESG is important for investment decisions, in monitoring suppliers, and it is relevant to all sectors, from real estate to manufacturing.

In the first podcast episode, we explore and define the role of ESG in China: What trends do we see, and how do they differ from a Western context?

Listen to learn more about:

  • ESG in a Chinese context: Regulations, players, and different interpretations
  • How ESG affects your operations and projects in China
  • Risks and opportunities tied to ESG reporting

Heidi Berg has worked with ESG in many years. In May 2023, she joined DI Asia Base in Shanghai to establish new services to support Danish companies and their partners in China on sustainability issues and ESG.
